A Lonan woman has been shortlisted for ITV's Carer of the Year.

Sylvia Stoneman is one of four people who will feature on Border's Lookaround programme next week.

Sylvia has cared for her husband John for five years and has nursed him through a stroke and Parkinson's disease.

She says it's demanding work (audio file attached):

Lookaround will broadcast a short film about each of its four finalists during the week beginning September 17.

On Friday, September 21 voting lines will open for viewers to decide the winner.
