Manx car test system 'has merits'

The Island's Chief Vehicle Examiner says the Island's system of vehicle examination has it's own merits.

All vehicles over three years old bought in the UK must pass an inspection before being classed as roadworthy on the Isle of Man.

Mark Pattison says he doesn't think of it as a Manx MOT as such, and his team is working with police on a number of initiatives to clamp down on unsafe vehicles on the Manx roads:
