Launch for community initiative

The public is being encouraged to support an inter-generational education project which will be launched on Thursday.

The ‘Tell Me What It Was Like’ initiative is being run by Age Concern and will involve Island school children interviewing people over the age of 60, recording their memories and producing five-minute stories to either read, listen to or watch.

Age Concern’s Chief Executive, Penny Creighton, says it’s a real community scheme:
