A Rushen MHK is delighted about an Isle of Man Post move to help our armed forces members.

On Friday it announced all charges on letters and small parcels being sent to Manx servicemen and women who're overseas would be scrapped.

Quintin Gill, who is an ex-serviceman and the Tynwald Representative for the Reserve Forces, has been lobbying for the change and says Isle of Man Post was very receptive to it.

Mr Gill says the move, which comes in today and expands on the existing free service to Iraq and Afghanistan, will be a tremendous boost for the soldiers:
