Prison allegations against government

The Celtic League claims the Manx Government is breaching United Nations guidelines on the treatment of prisoners by housing adult and juvenile offenders together in prison.

Director of Information Bernard Moffatt says overcrowding at Victoria Road (pictured) has forced the move.

In the past, men and women have been forced to share wings because of an accommodation crisis.

Mr Moffatt says that was bad enough, but the present situation is even worse:
