Kerbside scheme on the way?

Local authorities will consider proposals for an Island-wide kerbside collection scheme later this month.

They are based on a report commissioned by the Department of Local Government and the Environment, which sets out how much it would cost and how it would work.

Most United Kingdom authorities already operate formal recycling schemes.

Recycling Manager with DoLGE, Stephanie Gray (pictured), says it wouldn't come cheap, but she would expect wide-spread support:
