More problems at CRHS?

by isleofman.com 7th September 2007
It seems there are more staffing problems at Castle Rushen High School.

On the second day of the new academic year the Department of Education has confirmed some of the PE staff there are unable to conduct activities outside normal school hours.

There's been no comment from the school yet, but Manx Radio understands some Castle Rushen pupils have been told about reduced extra-curricular activities.

The Department of Education says it's an internal matter at the school.

The head teacher is aware of the situation and is looking into the matter to see what can be done.

During the summer holiday the department held a series of interviews with staff at Castle Rushen High School to examine concerns over the way it was being run.

The special inspection of the school was ordered by the Director of Education, in response to concerns raised by parents, poiticians, the public and staff.

The concerns were said to centre on the leadership and management of the school.
