Environmental Health under the microscope

DoLGE's Environmental and Public Health Unit isn't there just to deal with bad smells, mice, bugs, longtails and wasp nests.

They also have the responsibility for some unusual tasks - including the rare occasion where a body has to be exhumed, usually as a result of an ongoing criminal investigation.

Manager of the Environmental and Public Health Unit, John Howie (pictured) says that protecting public health is their primary concern:
