Alzheimer's Memory Walk

by isleofman.com 5th September 2007
Island residents are being encouraged to get involved in a walk to raise money for Alzheimer's research and care for sufferers.

Local woman Elli Warren has organised the Alzheimer's Memory Walk, which is taking place along Douglas Promenade from Port Jack to the Sea Terminal on Sunday, September the 23rd, starting at 10am.

It'll be one of hundreds of sponsored walks across the British Isles and the United States, which it's hoped, will raise a quarter of a million pounds.

Elli says her own experience of the disease has led her to get involved:

If you'd like to get involved in the walk, contact Elli Warren on 451951 for registration and sponsorship forms.
