Minister confirms MGP success

by isleofman.com 4th September 2007
Around 9,000 people and 3,500 bikes were attracted to this year's Manx Grand Prix, according to the Department of Tourism and Leisure.

The figures represent a 25% increase on last year, and made MGP 2007 the most successful event in terms of numbers in recent years.

Tourism and Leisure Minister, Adrian Earnshaw (pictured) says, as a motorsport fan, 2007 has been his favourite year on the Isle of Man.

He says the centenary TT, Rally Isle of Man and the MGP have made for some fantastic racing and praised his department and other agencies for attracting both new and continuing visitors.
