Celebrations in Laxey

by isleofman.com 31st August 2007
Laxey is celebrating the end of the Summer in style this weekend.

Events will be staged at the Valley Gardens, including a performance of Romeo and Juliet at 7.00pm on Saturday, followed by a fireworks display.

The entertainment begins at 5.00pm and will also feature archery, steam trains, a bouncy castle and a Punch and Judy show.

Families are encouraged to go along in period dress and a prize will be awarded for the best efforts.

On Sunday there will be a second performance of the Shakespeare play for those who could not make the Saturday showing.

Event organiser Jackie Merrick is expecting a great weekend (audio file attached):

Tickets are available from the Gaiety Box Office.
