Connor transferred to Liverpool

by isleofman.com 30th August 2007
Manx Grand Prix organisers have confirmed Shane Connor has been transferred to a hospital in Liverpool for further treatment.

Following a crash at Alpine Corner in yesterday's Junior Race, he was described last night as 'serious but stable' in Noble's Hospital.

The 23 year old rider was in second place, when he came off his bike on the third lap.

The section of road between Kirk Michael and Ballaugh was closed for a period after racing finished.

Connor was riding for the JD Racing Team - the owner John Donnan was tragically killed at the Tandragee 100 meeting in early May.

At the family's request, there will be no more updates on his condition.

News of other riders - Barry Edwards remains 'comfortable' in Noble’s Hospital, and both Ian Fletcher and James Buckett will be discharged later today.
