Grand Prix marshals appeal

by isleofman.com 28th August 2007
The 2007 Manx Grand Prix is hanging by a thread due to a shortage of marshals.

A reduced number of volunteers is thought to be due to the recent TT manslaughter investigation.

Chief Marshall and Chairman of the TT Marshals' Association, Roger Hurst, is urgently appealing for anyone with prior experience to come forward and ensure the remaining races can go ahead (audio file attached):

The Manx Grand Prix continues tomorrow, with two more races on the Mountain Circuit, both over four laps.

First, at 10.15am, will be the combined Junior and Lightweight Classic, to be followed by the main Junior race at 1.15pm.

Roads are due to close at 9.30am.
