Countryside back to normal - Minister

by isleofman.com 24th August 2007
The Agriculture Minister says he's pleased the countryside is effectively open again.

This morning, footpaths closed as a result of the foot and mouth risk, were re-opened, but a ban on the movement of livestock will remain.

Any restrictions on vantage points for the Manx Grand Prix will be left up to organisers, the Manx Motorcycle Club.

Phil Gawne says people can fully enjoy the Manx countryside once again:

Meanwhile the Water Authority, following consultation with DAFF, has announced the lifting of all foot and mouth restrictions at the reservoirs as of eight o' clock tomorrow morning.

And General Manager at the Curraghs Wildlife Park, Nick Pinder, says they're now fully re-opened.
