by isleofman.com 20th August 2007
An 18 year old who bought a crate of lager for children in Castletown has been fined a total of ?400 by High Bailiff Michael Moyle.

Stephen Patrick Skillin of Orry Place admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour and supplying liquor to under 18s for consumption in a public pace.

Skillin was spotted by an off-duty police officer in Castletown Square on June 30, when he took money from a gang of youths and bought the beer.

The police were called, and saw him swear in front of the children. Initially, he gave false details but admitted his real name later.

His advocate said he was sorry, he’d been drinking and didn’t know the children.
