Sir Norman in good spirits

Sir Norman Wisdom has spoken out for the first time since his family were accused of isolating him in an Island care home.

Speaking to the News of the World, Sir Norman says he’s fine and denies reports he’s been mistreated.

The 92 year-old is interviewed at the Abbotswood nursing home, where he’s suffering the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease.

He says he’s quite happy there, and video footage shows him entertaining the other residents (audio file attached):
