Police appeal after Strand attack

Police are hunting a teenage attacker who launched an unprovoked attack on a young boy in the Strand Centre in Douglas.

The incident happened between 2pm and 2.45pm on Saturday when the 11 year-old was approached.

The older boy grabbed him, threw him against the window and then threw him to the ground, ripping his T-shirt and injuring his shoulder.

The teenager is described as between 13 and 15 years-old, overweight, with dark brown hair that had small dotted blonde highlights.

He was wearing a dark coloured sports top and navy tracksuit bottoms.

Police are appealing for anybody with any information to contact them on 631212 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
