Vandals have caused extensive damage to public toilets alongside the crematorium in Douglas Borough cemetery.

Fire damage was sustained to the toilets tissue dispensers and a plastic waste bin, resulting in extensive smoke damage.

Vandals also drained the ornamental pond in the garden of remembrance, while rose beds and newly landscaped areas were walked over.

The damage was caused between 4.30pm on Wednesday and 8.30am Thursday.

Acting sergeant Nigel Colquitt is urging anyone with information to come forward and contact Police Headquarters on 631212.
