A man injured in an incident in Peel last Sunday (August 12) is in a critical condition in a hospital in the UK.

Fifty seven year-old Joseph McCabe received his injuries outside a house in North View.

Three people have appeared before the High Bailiff this morning (Thursday) in relation to the incident.

Kate Skinner reports (audio file attached):

Forty three year-old Marcus Anthony McCormick of North View is charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent on Mr McCabe.

Twenty-four year-old Mark Anthony Quirk of Castlemona Avenue in Douglas is also charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent on Mr McCabe.

Forty one year-old Sandra Rose Quirk, also of Castlemona Avenue, is charged with perverting the course of justice.

Bail applications were refused but the High Bailiff said he would review the position of Sandra Quirk on Tuesday.
