Big rate rises for Onchan?

Onchan ratepayers are being warned big rate rises could be on the way.

The claim comes from commissioner, Brian Stowell, who says the local authority’s use of reserves to keep the rate down in recent years could have a negative long-term effect.

He’s concerned residents are soon going to have to dig deep (audio file attached):
