Four in custody over Peel assault

Four people are in police custody after an attack in Peel on Sunday night.

Just after 10pm, emergency services attended outside an address in North View.

A 57 year-old was taken to hospital and is being treated for a significant injury to his head.

A 43 year-old man from Peel and a 24 year-old man from Douglas have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and a 42 year-old female from Peel and an 18 year-old female from Douglas have been arrested on suspicion of conspiring to pervert the course of justice.

Peel Police are investigating the circumstances leading to the injury and want to speak to any witnesses.

Officers are also conducting house-to-house inquiries.
