Grant for homeless action group

The Isle of Man's homelessness problem has received a boost in the form of a substantial financial grant.

The Henry Smith Charity set up by the government's multi-agency working group will impliment the funds to pay for a full time projects development officer over the next three years.

Minister for Health and Social Security Eddie Teare says the money will enable the group to effectively turnaround the life chances of homeless people on the Island.

Assistant Director of Social Services Andrew Swithinbank says securing the funds was a real team effort:
