Is foot and mouth spreading?

There are fears this morning that foot and mouth disease could be spreading in the UK.

A new suspected case has been identified in Surrey.

Cows on a farm near Dorking are showing symptoms - but so far test results are inconclusive.

The site is close to the two confirmed outbreaks of the virus.

The UK's Chief Veterinary Officer Debby Reynolds says they're being extremely cautious: (first audio clip)

In the Isle of Man the guard was relaxed to a degree on Wednesday with the announcement that the MGP was going ahead and that many of the restrictions in the countryside, the shutting off of paths, were being lifted.

Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne admitted then that it was still a watching brief until the all-clear came: (second audio clip)
