Douglas ready for Britain in Bloom

After many months of tireless work, Douglas's chance to shine has finally arrived.

Judges from this year's Royal Horticultural Society's Britain in Bloom competition arrive in the capital this evening (Thursday).

The town is looking to build on last year’s success when it won a silver award in the small town category.

Council leader, David Christian, says it’s been a real community effort – despite the, at times, difficult conditions (audio file attached):
