Treasury Minister Allan Bell says the Manx Grand Prix is on.

The announcement was made after a special meeting of the Council of Ministers earlier today (Wednesday).

Mr Bell said after a full and extensive debate today, the council made the decision to allow the racing to continue.

Racing will start as planned on August 18, but with some restrictions imposed by the government.

The majority of sections of the Mountain course will be closed to spectators.
