Mail deliveries resume

by isleofman.com 8th August 2007
Postal deliveries WILL be made to people living in the countryside today (Wed).

No drop-offs have been made to people on farms or properties with livestock for the last two days, as a result of the foot and mouth restrictions.

But following advice from the Department of Agriculture, deliveries WILL now be made to places where bio-security measures are in use.

However, property owners will have to collect the mail from the vehicle as it isn't practical for postal staff to get out.

Affected customers can still choose to have post left in a box at the boundary of their premises, collect mail at the local delivery office or arrange an alternative delivery point.
