Derailment affects train service

There will be no rail services between Ballasalla and Port Erin today after a locomotive and part of a carriage derailed yesterday evening.

No one was hurt in the incident, and passengers were taken to their final destination by bus.

Rail workers finally got the steam engine moving in the early hours of this morning.

It's expected services will return to normal tomorrow morning.

The Island's Rail Traffic Manager, Glen Davis, says alternative transport is being offered:
