Minister talks of self-sufficiency

With the popularity of farmers' markets growing, the agriculture minister believes the Isle of Man could become self-sufficient in many food products.

A second government accredited event takes place tomorrow at the Villa Marina Collonade, and similar markets run across the Island every week.

Phil Gawne (pictured) says we already produce enough meat and dairy goods to meet our needs, and have the capacity to improve in other areas:
