Bills down, despite price rise!

by isleofman.com 3rd August 2007
The Chairman of the MEA is responding to concerns over the increase in the cost of electricity from next month.

Customers will pay an extra 6.9% from September 1st, but Eddie Teare says bills will actually be lower than 12 months ago, when the removal of the fuel cost adjustment is taken into account.

There's also good news in relation to the possible re-introduction of a fuel cost adjustment, in the future.

The MEA board says it is unlikely such action will be needed during the coming winter, thanks to forward purchasing policies.
