Indecent image sentence welcomed

The sentence handed down to a Douglas man who was caught with 16,000 indecent images of children on a computer is being welcomed by a police officer involved in the case.

Detective Constable Jamie Tomlinson says the record two and half year prison term given to fifty-three year old Paul David Wilson sends out a strong message such offences will not be tolerated.

He says there are many ways people viewing such material can be found out, and he is urging anybody who has suspicions about somebody they know to contact the police.
