Corkish bides his time

The six MHKs elected last November, the so-called 'Greenhorns', are using the summer recess to reflect on their performance in politics so far.

It's been a steep learning curve, as the 'new boys' get to grips with the parliamentary process and shoulder heavy workloads in government departments.

Some have buried themselves in papers to ensure they're up-to-speed on the big issues.

Geoff Corkish topped the poll at the General Election in West Douglas, but eight months on he has yet to make his maiden speech.

On last night's Agenda he insisted he had plenty of ideas, but was biding his time:
