Sculptor defends cost of gull

Local artist and film-maker Krista Magee is defending her 'gull design', following public criticism.

People have been using Manx Radio to air their concerns over the proposed North Quay installation.

The sculpture has the full support the Douglas Development Partnership and Leader of Douglas Town Council David Christian recently praised the design.

However, it has also been suggested that ?30,000 is a lot of money to spend on a piece of street art.

Krista Magee says the cost isn't the only consideration (audio file attached):
