Planning system fair says Minister

MHK Bill Malarkey claimed last week that the planning appeals process is biased unfairly in favour of developers and Government departments.

He maintains that those with deep pockets usually get their own way - often to the detriment of residents who oppose their schemes.

DoLGE Minister John Shimmin (pictured) says the planning system is transparent and open - but that developers are often more familiar with the processes involved:
