It is thought there was another vehicle nearby when a car appears to have gone head-on into a wagon near Douglas last night (Thurs).

The red VW Lupo was being driven towards Douglas when it collided with the wagon which was on the other side of the road.

The car was being driven by a Peel man. He had his father alongside in the passenger seat, who had to be cut free. He was detained in hospital though his injuries were not thought to be serious. The two drivers were checked over and discharged.

Police would like to talk with the occupants of that other car which may have seen the incident. Because it happened in the rush hour, there was a big tail back of traffic in the area after the road was closed off.
