Another diver needs the hyperbaric chamber

by isleofman.com 27th July 2007
Another diver has been taken to the hyperbaric chamber in Douglas for treatment after an accident.

Yesterday (Thurs), two divers were flown in from Strangford Lough.
Last night the other man, from England, was flown in at 11pm after a mishap whilst diving to try and retrieve sailing euipment off the coast of County Down.

He also incurred a head injury on surfacing.

The diver, who hasn't been named, was about 40 metres down when his equipment failed. He had been on a round-the-world sailing trip when some of his reefing equipment fell into the sea.

He has now been taken from the hyperbaric chamber to Noble's hospital.
