New sports centre

A sports center kitted out especially for people with learning and physical disabilities is opening to the public in the coming months.

The initiative, named 'Project 21' represents the combined efforts of five of the main special needs charities in the Isle of Man.

Building began on the centre in August of 2005 and has cost an estimated one point five million pounds .

The centre incorporates a large hall suitable for sports and social functions , two meeting and activities rooms and a state of the art computer suite.

Director of 'Project 21' Eelen Karran says it's a much needed facility for the Island:
