Community Safety Booklet distributed

It's hoped a new police Community Safety Booklet will help cut crime in the Island.

According to figures, 55 per cent of burglars don't have to break into houses, and 67 per cent of vehicle crime involves unlocked cars or vans.

The handbooks, which are being delivered to homes from today contain, among other things, tips on home security, bogus callers, mobile phones and cyber crime.

Force Crime Prevention Manager, Mike Radcliffe, hopes people just read it and take note:
