Knight admits drink driving

Sentence on a 45 year old woman has been adjourned by the High Bailiff for reports

Sharon Leslie Knight of Woodbourne Square, Douglas, admitted drink driving and driving without due care and attention.

Inspector Richard Power, prosecuting, said the defendant was arrested at her home at 10.50 pm on May 14th after police received a call from a motorist who had been concerned about the manner in which her car was being driven from Onchan toward Victoria Road. The car was seen to hit a pavement, and a sign on the roundabout by Shoprite supermarket.

Knight provided samples which gave a blood alcohol reading of 230 milligrammes. The legal limit is 80mg.

She was bailed until October 21st.
