Brown meets his namesake

Chief Minister Tony Brown met the United Kingdom's new Prime Minister, Gordon Brown (pictured), at the British-Irish Council in Belfast today.

The council was formed as part of the 1998 Good Friday agreement and is a forum for discussion and cooperation between governments from across the British Isles.

Members include Ireland, the UK, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man.
