The funeral of Corporal Michael Gilyeat will take place in Peel on Thursday.
The 28 year-old, whose mother and grandparents live in the Isle of Man, served with the Royal Military Police.
He was killed in Afghanistan on May 30.
The service will be at St German’s Cathedral, at 2pm.
