The hunt is on for ITV’s Carer of the Year.

The broadcaster has launched a United Kingdom-wide campaign to highlight and reward the work of the caring community and it wants to hear from Island residents as part of the process.

ITV will be asking its viewers to nominate the people who make a difference to other people's lives.

They could care for one person or many, be devoted foster parents, careworkers or anyone who has gone beyond the call of duty.

Four finalists will be chosen from each nation and region.
