Castle Rushen is hosting a Manx National Heritage event next weekend mixing fun and education.

Next Saturday, July 22, marks National Archaeology Day and MNH is celebrating the opening of its Viking and Medieval Galleries at the Manx Museum.

The day runs from 10am until 5pm and will show people what life was like in the Castle (pictured) 500 years ago.

You’ll be able to see what sort of food was being prepared, learn about the Stanley Family and even try medieval toothpaste!
