OFT recall products

by isleofman.com 7th July 2007
Three firms have issued important product recall notices through the Isle of Man Office of Fair trading.

The items are Tesco's Rapid Boil Cordless Jug Kettles, Boots hot water bottles bought between October 2005 and January 2007, and Next's Newborn Dog cuddly toys.

Edward Oldham has more (audio file attached):

Tesco says the recall only concerns kettles with the model number JKR16, which can be found on the rating label on the bottom of the product.

The affected hot water bottles were all made in 2005 and are cream, blue and red.

There is a danger of them splitting.

If you have one, check the circle on the back of the bottle's neck, if it has a number 5 on it, you're advised to stop using it immediately.

Next is warning the nose on its dog toy, item number 999032, could become detached and could be a choking hazard to young babies.

If you have any of these products, you should return them to the shops you bought them from.
