Songs of Praise at Rushen Abbey

by isleofman.com 7th July 2007
An open-air ecumenical Songs of Praise service will take place in the grounds of Rushen Abbey at 2.30pm this afternoon (Sunday).

The annual service has been arranged by Manx National Heritage and Churches Together in Mann, along with the Vicar of Malew, the Reverend Michael Roberts.

To celebrate the Manx Heritage Flower Festival which concludes today, there’ll be a special floral theme to the interdenominational service.

Island singers Terry Qualtrough, Helen Ainsworth and Sarah Mordaunt will lead the hymns.

Visitors are advised to bring seating or blankets, although in case of wet weather the service will be conducted at the Abbey Church, Ballasalla, about 100 yards from the Abbey.
