Siren test tomorrow

by isleofman.com 6th July 2007
The All Island public warning siren system will be tested tomorrow morning (Sat).

Sirens at 30 of the 31 sites across the Island will sound the steady 'all clear' signal at 11am.

The Mount Murray siren will NOT be tested on this occasion.

The public are reminded that in a real emergency the siren will sound a rising and falling note for three minutes, in which case people should stay indoors and tune to local radio in order to be notified of the nature of the emergency and receive any advice on action to be taken.

Tomorrow's test is a routine quarterly exercise and there is no need to take any action.
