Tynwald pride

A former MHK and MLC says he will look on with pride at tomorrow’s (Thursday) Tynwald Day celebrations.

Dominic Delaney retired last November after a long and distinguished political career spanning 30 years and, as a result, is in the unusual position of not being involved in the proceedings.

As the Island celebrates Manx National Week, he is continuing to promote all things Manx and has brought over a group of German politicians and lawyers keen to find out more about our parliament, democracy and way of life.

Mr Delaney says while he misses the political arena, it was time to step aside:
