2006/7 Public Lottery Trust grants

Charities, organisations and individuals in the Isle of Man have once again benefited from hundreds of thousands of pounds of lottery money.

The 22nd report of the Isle of Man's Public Lottery Trust has been released and shows a total of ?314,798 of grants was given out in the year ending January 31st, 2007.

Major outlays include ?25,000 towards the extension and refurbishment of the First Douglas Scout Group's hall and ?14,470 for the Rob Vine Fund, to help pay for the purchase and fitting out of a new ambulance.

Also, ?24,080 was allocated to seven endowment committees and coal funds, to enable them to meet the demand for assistance with heating costs from the elderly and needy in their districts.
