Naval gazing

by isleofman.com 30th June 2007
There’ll be a naval invasion of the Island today (Friday).

The Royal Navy is preparing for six days of community events as part of Manx National Week, culminating in Tynwald Day next Thursday.

HMS Bangor, the navy's minehunter, will berth alongside Victoria Pier in Douglas later.

During her visit, she’ll host dignitaries, schools and youth groups.

One of the highlights will be on Monday with a concert by The Band of Her Majesty's Royal Marines Scotland at the Villa Marina.
