Banners stolen

by isleofman.com 29th June 2007
Police are appealing for information after a business's banners were targeted twice by thieves in the last 48 hours.

A sign for the Little Darlings Kindergarten was taken from the Quarterbridge roundabout some time between five o' clock on Wednesday afternoon and eight o' clock yesterday (Thursday) morning.

A replacement one, put up yesterday lunchtime, was then taken some time before nine o' clock this morning.

The banners are made of white vinyl, have black writing on them, are about 8ft by 2ft and advertise a fun day at the kindergarten tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon.

Constable Jimmy Cubbon says the crimes would appear to be planned and with a purpose, and has urged anyone who saw the banners being moved, to come forward.

Anyone with information should contact PC Cubbon at Douglas Police Station on 631212, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
