PSM lifeboat launched

Port St Mary lifeboat was launched at 6pm last night (Thurs) to go the aid of a yacht which was some 12 miles south of the town

One person aboard the yacht was reported to be unconscious.

A helicopter from 122 squadron was also called out, and the person concerned was transferred to hospital at around 7.30 last night.

The second cox of the lifeboat was transferred to the yacht to help sail it in to port.
